...Jeff
Cosco celebrates the release of his new CD, and first
proper solo effort, Something. While Cosco has
strutted his vocal prowess with (many) bands...this
highly-anticipated CD... will certainly please
longtime fans.
Showcasing his singing range
within a varied stew of rock 'n' roll, Cosco
especially grabs the listener on tracks like the
bluesy, Black Crowes-styled, "Cool Water," the
inspirational, "I Believe," where he conjures the
spirit of Journey's Steve Perry in his vocals, and on
"Vivid Blue" and "When That Train Comes," where Cosco
creates a couple perfect pop songs, all melodic and
catchy for your pleasure! The sole cover, of Elton
John's "Madman Across the Water," is performed in
excellent fashion, with Cosco making it his own, as he
often does with any cover he performs. Check out one
of Rochester's most beloved artists! ~ Michelle
Picardo, Freetime Magazine, Rochester, NY
This
collection of songs comes from the days when Don and
Jeff could just hang around all day and call another
bunch of musicians who could just hang around all day.
Why? ...to write and record ideas that later might
become a song! ...and yes drink a few beers along the
way. This is just a very small sample of songs from
those days. Some are rough, some are live and some have
a little polish on them but they all are representative
of a great bunch of talent and fun. In the years these
songs were written they would never be released unless
shopped and accepted by a major record company. Today's
technology allows music like this to be released in
whatever amount of copies are needed! Please enjoy
yourself and have fun with some retro rock that isn't
really retro rock! It's the real thing!
The final
lineup was assembled in 1980. Cheater took Western New York by
storm with it’s incredible live shows, crazy antics and the
record release of the 10" EP “Ten Cent Love Affair. Cheater
sold over 10,000 copies of this self released EP and performed
345 shows in 1981! The Album was only released in New York,
Pennsylvania and Ohio - USA, yet reports have come from all
over the United States and Europe from Cheater fans and Jeff
Cosco fans!
The band never released it’s 1983 recordings until 2005
on CD. Included are the first 4 songs from the original EP.
This is classic rock at its best. Jeff Cosco, Don Mancuso (Lou
Gramm Band), Chris Mawdesley, Kevin McKee, Blayne Pierce, and
Ron Rocco (Black Sheep) started it all. In the later shows and
recordings Jimmy Fox (Toronto) joined up.
Reunion shows and avid fans have kept this band going
for over 25 years!
This CD marks the first time
Jeff Cosco, Don Mancuso and Ron Rocco teamed up to write and record since
Cheater. The short lived band accomplished a lot in its brief existence. A
wonderful album of mixed influences, and great live performances in the
Buffalo, NY and Rochester, NY area. Recipients of Buffalo Backstage
awards, best new group.
Ron Rocco
joined Jeff Cosco for the first time since Cheater, along
with some incredible musicians. The Shakes CD features
some fun, tongue in cheek lyric writing and good straight
head, rock and blues. This band enjoyed a performance
schedule that included sharing the stage with some of the
biggest bands in the business.
What happens when a
rock and roll singer from the streets hooks up with a producer and
co-writer that is an accomplished world renowned musician, writer,
arranger and Philharmonic conductor? "Jeff Cosco and Times Square".
This unique team of Jeff Cosco and Jeff Tyzik brings you an
incredible group of songs with world class production and
instrumentation that will rock you and move you. Selecting from some
of the best musicians in the world makes this a wonderful
combination. Jeff’s vocals shine over the top of some of the best
tracks you might ever hear. There is no mistaking that this is a
pop/rock album. The added surprise is the edge! ...Oh yeah, and by
the way, use your headphones, you don't want to miss a thing!

Kidding Around (exit)
Jeff and incredible
musician, James Richmond teamed up for this fun filled album,
Typical children's music is enough to drive all of us parents crazy!
With that in mind, Kidding Around was created especially for us.
These all original songs are stories and lessons loved by children
and parents alike.
It's the beat!
These songs all have a strong beat and great melodies that
everyone will enjoy. We tested these songs on daycare centers,
Kindergarten classes and middle schools. The response was
overwhelming. (Even the teachers liked it!)
This is a CD Single. A
tribute to slain Unkle Roger, Rochester NY radio DJ and
major supporter of local music. Highlights include an
incredible line-up of area musicians backing Jeff on
this recording.
Previously released separately, some great musicians
perform with Jeff on "Silent Night" and "Jingle Bell
Rock." James Richmond saxophone playing is
amazing! These arrangements by Jeff will move you for
the Holidays!
